Since my team and I released a lot of free drum kits in the past few days many producers particularly requested a Metro Boomin drum kit. The result is our Drip kit, which is filled with a total of 100 drum one shots and cymbals. In contrast to our Pierre Bourne Kit and the Wheezy Drum Kit this one is filled with rather “clean” sounds, which especially stands out when comparing the 808 shots. The whole pack is perfectly suitable for classic trap beats, that rely on clean subs and drum sounds that are still pretty close to Roland’s TR-808 Rhythm Composer.
Although Metro Boomin is known for being an avid FL Studio user this sample pack can certainly be used with all other DAWs as well.
Who Is Metro Boomin?
Metro Boomin, also known under the names Young Metro or Metro Beatz is definitely one of America’s most successful Trap & Hip Hop producers. He’s just 26 years old (as of 2020) and has already worked with some of the worlds best known rappers, including Travis Scott, Future, Young Thug, Drake, Gucci Mane or Kanye West. Although you might hear Metro’s name for the first time you probably listened to his catchphrases “Metro Boomin want some more” or “if Young Metro don’t trust you”.
Metro’s Work
What’s special about Metro Boomin is that he has (in contrast to most other beat makers) already released his own albums with renowned features like Gunna, 21 Savage and Offset. Some of his most successful productions are the studio album “Not All Heroes Wear Capes“, which peaked at the number one spot of the Billboard Charts and the single “Ric Flair Drip” peaking at position 13.
